How Hush cut TCO 40% and unified stock across every channel
Rebecca Scott, Chief Trading Officer at Hush, on why she chose the only platform built exclusively for fashion brands — and what it delivered.

Since 2003, Hush has built a following on making getting dressed easy: considered, everyday pieces that work across a whole wardrobe. Today it trades across its own site, concessions in Next and M&S, and is mid-expansion into physical retail and the US.
The problem
Hush ran on Salesforce Commerce Cloud; stable, but slow and expensive to develop on. Video wasn't possible. Content updates took days. Customer data lived in three separate places, and stock visibility across channels didn't exist in any unified form.
Rebecca Scott joined as Chief Trading Officer and had four weeks to decide whether to replatform.
"I had four weeks to get into the business and decide if we were going to replatform. After a month, the choice was clear."

Why Centra
Hush ran a formal tender. Most platforms scored similarly on paper.
"It's the stuff outside the scorecard you actually need to think about."
Two things set Centra apart. First, Centra works exclusively with fashion brands, so unlike a broader platform, Hush wasn't competing for roadmap priority against retailers in a completely different category. Second, omnichannel was native, not bolted on: stock management and POS were already built in, ready for Hush to grow into as it opened stores.
"Centra only works with fashion brands, so I'm getting a product that solves problems I don't even know I have yet. I'm not gonna be in a large pool of ecommerce retailers who might be in different verticals. And all of these brands will pull in the same direction and grow together."
Centra’s team was also a deciding factor for Rebecca and Hush.
"On a project with this much risk, having a team that's genuinely great to work with, really cares about our success and deeply knows fashion makes all the difference."
Hush rebuilt the frontend, migrated off SFCC, and launched in 2026.
The results
The new site does what the shop window is supposed to do: inspire, not just sell. Video is live. Content updates take hours, not days. And for the first time, stock and customer data are unified, all while cutting total cost of ownership by 40%.
"Single view of stock, that's the Holy Grail. This was never just about an ecommerce platform. It was about deciding what we do with all our data, so a marketplace, a concession partner, and our own stores all draw from the same place."
What's next
In the UK, Hush has three store openings confirmed for 2026, with a fourth in scope. Next up: visual search and loyalty infrastructure, building toward a single customer view across every channel.
"Centra has delivered on what I wanted: a platform that helps us inspire our customers, connect every channel, and bring the brand to life. Now that we've got the platform, we build from here."
